Your teacher gives you the direction. Virtunity shows you what happened in your last practice.
Structured plans, session scoring, and progress tracking to check your current level before audition day.
The Reality
You practice for 30 minutes. But did you actually get better?
Here's what happens:
- You can't hear your own pitch drift. Your ears have limits.
- You don't know if your rhythm is actually steady. You feel like it is, but is it?
- You leave the practice room hoping it was enough. No proof. Just hope.

Built by a Student
I built this because I needed it.
Justin Berchtold
I picked up clarinet at 11 in a small town with no private lessons. I taught myself from fingering charts and recordings, practiced every day, and had no idea if I was actually getting better. I just hoped I was.
Eventually I placed in chair placements, made honor bands, and eventually played in the Marine Corps Band around the world. But even then, early on—I was guessing. No objective feedback. No way to know.
Virtunity is the tool I wish I'd had at 14.
Now I teach in Chicago, and I see the same thing in my own students. You practice hard. You care. You show up ready to work. But you have no way to measure if the work is paying off. Virtunity gives you that feedback—so you can practice with confidence.
