See what students practiced before they walk into the lesson.
Virtunity helps band students follow a clearer daily practice plan between lessons, then gives you the practice snapshot before you teach. You stay focused on tone, phrasing, and musicianship instead of spending half the lesson re-diagnosing fundamentals.
Private-instructor teacher access is rolling out in early access with invite codes, lesson review snapshots, lesson mode, and assignments. Class-wide analytics, automated weekly summaries, parent-facing updates, and band-director ensemble workflows are still in development.

What is available now, and what is still rolling out
This page uses the same status language as pricing, roadmap, and the homepage so private instructors are not left guessing.

The next teacher and director layer
These workflows are actively being built and validated, but they are not positioned as fully available yet.
- Class-level analytics and weekly teacher summaries
- Parent-facing progress updates and reporting
- Band-director concert-prep and ensemble-readiness workflows
What comes after the current rollout
These are meaningful next steps, but they follow the current iPhone and teacher rollout rather than lead it.
- Android support
- A web-based practice experience
- School, studio, and district launch pricing/licensing
The Challenge
You have 30 minutes per lesson. How much time do you spend on fundamentals feedback?
Private lesson teachers tell us:
- You spend half the lesson re-diagnosing what went wrong this week — because you have no visibility into what happened at home
- Students forget between lessons what to work on
- Practice at home is unstructured and unmeasured

Teacher Dashboard
What private instructors can use now
The current teacher workflow is focused on lesson prep, lesson continuity, and the student practice loop.
See which students practiced this week — what they worked on, how long, and where they're stuck
Practice streaks, session frequency, and consistency metrics at a glance. No more guessing who's putting in the work between lessons.
Identify who needs extra attention before the lesson starts
Review snapshots help you spot weak areas before the student is in the room, so the lesson can start with better context.
No setup overhead — students join with an invite code
Takes minutes to set up, zero ongoing maintenance. Students download the app, enter your code, and you start seeing their data immediately.
Run the lesson and assignment handoff in one workflow
Lesson mode, notes, and assignments stay connected so what you taught does not disappear once the student leaves.
Your teaching carries into every practice session
When you leave a focus area or assignment, Virtunity can keep pointing the student back to it between lessons instead of relying on memory alone.
Student Experience
Your students get clarity
This is the student side that is already live today and makes the teacher workflow useful.
Daily practice plans
Tailored to their instrument and current skill level. Built around their recent scores so every session targets what needs the most work.
Practice tools and session logging
Built-in tuner, metronome, drone, and voice notes. Students log their reps, rate how it went, and leave notes for themselves. Every session becomes data that shapes their next plan.
Session scoring
Know exactly where to improve before the next audition. Trends over weeks and months so they can see measurable progress—not just hope they're getting better.

Justin Berchtold
I taught myself clarinet by searching the internet for fingering charts and listening to recordings. No private teacher, no structured feedback—just me in a practice room guessing whether I was getting better.
I eventually earned a spot in the Marine Corps Band, performed as a featured soloist, and studied at DePaul. But when I started teaching at Merit School of Music, I saw the same thing in my own students: they'd practice hard all week and show up with no idea if they'd actually improved.
Virtunity is the tool I wish I'd had at 14—and the one my students needed.
I ran a beta last year with my own studio. The students who used it consistently all placed higher in their auditions. That's when I knew this had to exist for every band student and every teacher.
